Marshmallow Treat Box

All products used are from Stampin' Up!
The punches you will need are : 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4" scallop circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1 3/4" circle, 1' circle and the small heart punch.
Stamp set used is P.S. I love you.
Designer paper is 'Twitterpated'

To begin you will need 2 pieces of cardstock for the base of the box. I used Riding Hood Red.
Cut 1 @ 8 3/4 x 2 3/4 and 1 @ 5 1/4 x 4 1/4

Score the first piece at 4" and 4 3/4" along the 8 3/4n side
For the second piece score  the 5 1/4 side at 1/2", 1 1/4", 4' and 4 3/4.
Turn 90 degrees and score at 1/2" and 1 1/4". You should have score lines on 3 sides.

Next cut the 3 scored squares at the bottom of the second piece like so

Cut along the 2 lines designated here in black and use a 1 3/4 circle punch where shown.

For the scallop edge you will need a piece of co-ordinating cardstock. I used Baja Breeze here.

punch your circle in the middle and make sure to leave enough room around the edges for the scallop punch.

Using a 2 3/8" Scallop circle punch, turn your punch upside down and slide the cardstock into the punch. This makes it easy to see where you are going to punch. Once you have it centered punch it out.

Use glue or adhesive to attach to the 2nd piece of the box. Distress first if so desired. I used a sponge dabbed in Soft Suede for all my distressing in this project.

Add sticky stripe or strong adhesive tape to outside edges and squares as shown. Put aside while we work on the front.

You will need 1 piece of patterned paper cut at 2" x 3 1/4" and one piece of cardstock cut at 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". The patterned paper I used is from the 'Twitterpated' designer series pack from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The co-ordinated cardstock shown here is Baja Breeze. Distress if desired.

Layer and adhere as shown.

To build the next part, punch a 1 3/4" scallop circle and small heart from Riding Hood Red. Both stamps are from  the P.S. I love you set.  Stamp a Baja breeze piece of cardstock with Early Expresso ink, and stamp the other on whisper white. Punch the baja breeze piece with 1 3/8" circle punch and the whisper white with a 1" circle punch. Use technique used earlier for punch accuracy.

Distress each piece of desired. Adhere pieces together to stack.

Add a Rhinestone and set aside.

Adding the ribbon. I used Pear Pizzazz Seam binding cut at 15". Line up cardstock on grid paper, lay the ribbon 3/4" from the edge of the cardstock. Use 2 pieces of Stampin Dimensions on either side of the ribbon. I used the outside edge giving me a straight edge along the ribbon if that makes sense. Try not to stick the dimensionals actually on the ribbon in case you need to adjust the ribbon to tie the bow later on.

Remove backing off of the dimensionals and attach the scallop design. Set aside.

Going back to our 2nd piece, fold all score lines. Remove the backing off the sticky strip on the 2 square pieces only. Ones marked with the 'X' below.

Fold tabs into the middle making your box like so.

Remove the bottom edge tape backing first and fold the 2 sides in adhering at the corners. Then remove the backing off the sides. All sides should be sticky now.

The easiest way I found to attach the 2 pieces is to stick down the lower edge side first while holding the top part up. Then slide your hand into the box and press down on each side one at a time. I hope this makes sense. 

All you need to do now is to add your candy. If using the Russel Stover Marshmallow Hearts like I did, I found it sat better if you fold the bottom part of the wrapper under to give it a flatter bottom. Fold over the top flap and tie your ribbon and you are done. :)
